Production Supervisor – £47,460 + Annual Bonus + 33 Days holiday + Pension + Private Medical + Career Progression!\n\nThe Company:\n\nWe are working with a market leader within the manufacturing, who are experiencing significant growth. They have a clear path for future company growth and as such are looking to add two Production Supervisors to their team in Doncaster.\n\nYou will be joining a team of experienced industry professionals with a chance to progress your career within a growing business with an excellent brand reputation.\n\nThe Role:\n\nWorking on a rotating shift pattern of days (phone number removed) / afternoons (14.15 - 22.30) and leading a team of 20 (via x 4 direct reports), the Production Supervisor will deliver safe, on-time, and right-first-time production output for the assigned shift by leading people, optimising processes, and resolving issues in real time.\n\nThe role is accountable for achieving daily production targets, maintaining zero-harm standards, reducing defects, and driving continuous improvement that enhances cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.\n\nThe role is working a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6.00am - 2.15pm / 2.15pm - 10.30pm (Monday to Friday).\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\n * Drive team performance to consistently meet or exceed shift KPIs and manage attendance/staffing levels.\n\n * Ensuring compliance to health and safety rules and procedures and promote a continuous improvement culture.\n\n * Ensure quality specifications are adhered to with ‘Right First Time’ approach\n\n * Support and deliver the production plan as directed by the Production Manager.\n\n * Effective supervision of areas under your responsibility.\n\n * Reporting production progress through the chain of command and to the wider team.\n\n * Monitor and plan holidays to ensure cover is provided in line with the production plan.\n\n * Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times where required. & ensure section areas are safe and free from obstructions.\n\n * Support Section Leaders with Risk Assessments, Safe systems of work and competency training.\n\n * In conjunction with Managers/Section Leaders assist, develop, implement a safety culture to include tool box meetings, hazzbase reporting etc.\n\n * Prepare shift rotas and ensure manning levels are adequate as per production plan.\n\n * Assist and support the Production Manager in maintaining performance metrics KPI’s.\n\n * Conduct shop floor audits to verify that improvements are sustained.\n\n * Assist with developing training needs of the department as required.\n\n * Assist with kaizen events.

Identify opportunities for waste reduction in business using lean manufacturing and quality principles to reduce waste, increase product quality and/or increase labour efficiency.\n\n * Liaise with Maintenance department to ensure PPM and emergency maintenance is carried out.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n\nThe Production Supervisor will ideally have experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering organisation and be a forward-thinking individual with attention to detail.\n\nIdeally you will be/have:\n\n * Proven ability todeliver operational targets in a production environment.\n\n * Diploma or qualification in a supervisory capacity is of benefit\n\n * Experience of managing a team.\n\n * IOSH managing safely.\n\n * Experience leading teams to achieve measurable performance improvements.\n\n * Strong capability in data analysis and performance tracking.\n\n * Effective communicator with the ability to drive accountability at all levels.\n\n * Lean / Continuous Improvement experience, a proactive problem solver.\n\nWhat is On Offer:\n\nThe Production Supervisor will receive a competitive basic salary of £47,460.
