Production Supervisor (Day Shift)

About the Role:
This role will be a part of our Lathrop team and will perform all tasks necessary to complete daily manufacturing and shipping schedules with full accountability of the team. Work consists of routine tasks, processes and performing operations prescribed by drawings, work orders, shipping documents and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Enforce and ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Supervising and training of direct reports
- Working with neighboring departments to ensure best shop safety practices
- Maintain all shop tools and equipment for properly operation and ensure safety
- Supervise and execute all activities associated with respect to quality, customer service, labor allocation, environmental, health and safety within assigned project scope
- Responsible to lead crews with innovative ideas that continuously improve performance
- Responsibility for actions of employees under your direct supervision
- Accurate approval and timely completion of prototypes and production orders as scheduled
- Responsibility for high-quality and efficient production in all manufacturing areas
- Procure miscellaneous supplies, pallets, and materials
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed
- Complete performance evaluations of employees under your direct or indirect supervision
- Perform disciplinary action against employees under your direct supervision
- Accurate completion of paperwork and computer data input related to all facets of production, shipping and personnel
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Preferred Skills:
- 4 years experience as a direct supervisor
- 1 year packaging or fulfillment experience
- Prior knowledge and experience with wood working tools and equipment. (Table saws, drill presses, CNC Machines, Stain and Paint Booths, Dust Collectors, various of hand tools.)
- Possesses working knowledge of woodworking and manufacturing methodologies
- Skilled use of sprayers, staining techniques, hand tools which include mixes and color matching
- Communicates effectively with co-workers, managers and others
- Correctly performs all aspects of routine work, meeting quality standards and requirements
- Strong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations
- Strong aptitude to diagnose and take corrective action during production processes
- Flexible in cross-training to cover in other departments
- Performs duties based on instructions/past practices
- Responds to direction to provide assistance to others
- Takes responsibility for own contributions to team/unit goals
- Ability to identify labor usage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to schedule and follow through with project load
- Ability to handle stress and maintain composure
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is helpful
- Forklift operation certification
- Statistical process control experience is preferred
- Ability to work more than regular shift hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to climb
- Ability to work irregular hours, when required

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range allow for future and continued salary growth. The hiring range for this role is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour.
