This could be the perfect next step!APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Romulus, MI looking to add a Production Supervisor to their amazing manufacturing team. This is a 3-month contracted assignment. Their primary responsibility will be to oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality standards. This role is responsible for leading and developing production employees, maintaining workflow, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. What your day will look like:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve department goals.
- Monitor workflow, material usage, and production output to identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks.
- Ensure all employees follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics departments to optimize production performance.
- Review and report daily production data, including productivity, downtime, and scrap rates.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree ( but not required)
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management systems (ERP experience a plus).
