Production Supervisor

Job Description Job Description Job Title: Production SupervisorJob Description We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor who can effectively maintain knowledge of all jobs within the department and oversee a team of 15 production associates and 5 team leads. The role involves coordinating training for new team members and developing cross-training plans to ensure comprehensive area and process coverage. As the first point of contact for department team members, you will provide essential support and communication. Responsibilities Facilitate department start-of-shift meetings, SQDC messages, and expectations. Plan department work assignments and assign daily tasks. Establish priorities and sequences to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customers. Ensure each process sends only 100% conforming products/parts to the next process. Improve work instructions and procedures. Determine root causes and countermeasures for product nonconformances and process problems. Manage the floor management system, including developing, communicating, and posting results. Ensure HAZMAT training and compliance where applicable. Support the development and execution of the area’s function action plan. Oversee shift transitions with oncoming and outgoing area leaders. Step into production assignments as needed to provide relief for absence or emergencies. Manage abnormal conditions by communicating, analyzing, and resolving issues. Lead area 4S and enforce compliance to established standards. Communicate, report, and enforce safety compliance, including accident investigation and countermeasures. Facilitate quality by auditing work instructions and assuring standard work is followed. Manage performance of the area and team members with prompt communication to the section manager. Complete non-routine projects or assignments, including participation in improvement processes. Act as interim leader during a section manager’s short-term absence. Participate in hiring new team members and contribute to decision-making processes. Work Environment This role operates on an 8PM-8AM shift following a 2/2/3 schedule. The work environment emphasizes safety compliance and quality assurance, with a focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Dress code is in accordance with standard safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
