The primary responsibility of a Production Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Review operations and collaborate with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to detect production issues.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, while resolving personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.


Essential Skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in business or related field .
  • 10 years of experience in a related field.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in the United States. The work environment involves overseeing production operations, including the use of various machines and tools. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to quality control standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wentzville, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
