Production Supervisor

Summary

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Activities

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (when necessary)
• Perform raw material check-in and supplies inventory
• Manage production and labour according to schedules
• Communicate shift performance to targets and objectives
• Assist with coaching and training of team members to ensure standardisation of work methods
• Support production team members by touring the floor at least 3 times per shift
• Aid in product/process corrective actions, complaint investigations, and communication of customer feedback
• Aid is the continuous improvement of activities and processes
• Monitor production trials, special orders, and/or processes (when necessary)
• Ensure that each team member maintains plant cleanliness standards (5S)
• Communicate changes related to the processes, products, methods, machines, and business
• Perform system audits as needed (safety, quality, production, AIB)
• Actively participate in improvement committees (safety, quality, production, AIB)
• Any other duties deemed necessary by our Management Team

Skills

• Computer experience (Microsoft Office)
• Can create spreadsheets, compose emails, presentations, reports and records

Educations & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous supervisor experience is a plus
• Knowledge of paper converting and sheeting equipment is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
