Production Planner/Supply Chain Coordinator in Batavia

In this position, the production planner/supply chain coordinator is tasked with ensuring smooth, efficient manufacturing operations by managing production schedules, monitoring material availability, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. This role oversees inventory levels, tracks supplier performance and resolves potential delays in keeping production on schedule and plays a key role in maintaining on-time delivery, operational accuracy, and supply chain reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze production requisitions and production progress using company’s ERP system.
- Produce production schedules for manufacturing departments to ensure optimal productivity and on time delivery.
- Create and release work orders.
- Coordinate and process internal transfers between the Batavia and Sacramento warehouses.
- Ensure work orders due dates are accurate in the system at all times.
- Work closely with production to align production schedules to meet customer orders ship dates
- Communicates status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
- Provide lead times, production updates and schedules to internal customers.
- Update and designate paperwork to appropriate departments.
- Trace ocean containers and update delivery dates.
- Liase with customer service to monitor inventory vs. sales and communicate availability, potential risk etc.
- Freight Claim Management
- Create and distribute weekly stock out list.
- Daily update of inventory availability on E-Commerce platforms.
- Handle the purchase of certain product categories
- Manage annual Country of Affidavits
- Help in other departments within supply chain whenever necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operations
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in production planning, scheduling and/or project management ( in a manufacturing environment ).
- Strong math and data analysis capabilities for forecasting and resource planning.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be proficient in MS Office.
- Must be proficient in ERP system.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing demands, priorities, processes, and updated information.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Responsive and flexible to ever-changing needs and environment.
- Demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, analytical ability and professional demeanor.
- Must be willing to complete different tasks in various, different departments as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings,
- Walk in warehouse areas as needed to verify inventory levels or inspect materials
- Comfort with light physical activities such as bending, reaching or lifting items typically up to 20 lbs. when reviewing stock or handling samples.
- Ability to navigate warehouse environments safely, including moving around miscellaneous items or equipment.
