Production Planner Supervisor

Thermal Structures is seeking a Planning Supervisor that oversees the planning, scheduling, and execution of production planning activities. This position reports to the Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and plant capacity.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Ensure timely and accurate material requirements planning (MRP).
• Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Supervise and guide a team of production planners.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, operations, engineering, procurement, shipping) to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and analyze production performance metrics (on-time delivery, production output).
• Prepare reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Must maintain knowledge of all planner’s accounts

Other Duties:

• Collaborate with customers on order schedules and provide updates.
• Performs customer service with all assigned customers.

Qualifications:

• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP’s and PivotTables.
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of production planning experience (aerospace a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent prior relevant experiences
• Must be a “U.S. Person,” defined as a U.S. , Permanent Alien or individual granted Asylum status under the laws of the United States.

Compensation:

Annual Salary Range: $80,0000 - $95,000
