What we do.
This fantastic opportunity will be based at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.
About the role.
As a Planner, you will create daily production plans, manage stock levels, and ensure our factory runs efficiently to meet customer demands. You will forecast needs, track performance, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
Acting as a key link between departments, you will communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, helping the production to run smoothly every day.
Role Accountabilities
Plan and prioritize production to maximize efficiency while meeting customer service targets.
Manage stock levels across Finished Goods, WIP, and offsite inventory with accuracy and foresight.
Monitor factory performance daily, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery.
Forecast production needs to support materials procurement and workforce planning.
Track, analyse, and improve KPIs, driving continuous operational excellence.
Collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and implement improvements to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and optimize processes. About You
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a planning role and a strong aptitude for numbers, allowing you to analyse data and make informed decisions with confidence - you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
You will be proficient in IT, particularly Excel, with a willingness and ability to further develop your technical skills.
Above all, you will be a proactive problem solver, capable of making decisions and tackling challenges to keep operations running smoothly.
