JOB TITLE: Production Planner

LOCATION:  Baumann Springs USA

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Scheduling / planning of production                      

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Planning Manager

POSITIONS SUPERVISED:  N/A

AUTHORITY:

·       Plan / schedule production requirements

·       Adjust safety stocking levels based upon historical data or direction from management

·       Revision manufacturing lot sizes based upon historical data in conjunction with financing

·       Revision of milestones

·       Revision of work centers in conjunction with Finance department

·       Revision of routings in conjunction with Engineering & Finance departments

·       Scheduling of material in conjunction with Purchasing department

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):

·       Planning / scheduling production of all product in the assigned department(s) utilizing applicable tools in SAP

·       Daily cooperation & communication with Customer Service (Sales) to provide lead times and updates for customer orders

·       Maintenance of SAP data for assigned items (routings, work centers, safety stock levels, manufacturing lot sizes, etc.)

·       Review and update of production reporting in SAP to assure accuracy.

·       Daily cooperation & communication with production to assure scheduling is clearly planned and communicated

·       Monitor backlog & adjust scheduling accordingly

·       Production supply area maintenance to assure accuracy of WIP inventory utilizing applicable tools in SAP (COGI)

·       Job closings including review of confirmations, material consumptions and cost analysis

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

·       Degree in a technical field or 5 years equivalent related experience working in production planning

·       Skilled in SAP Production Process and Inventory Control modules

·       Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint

·       Lean Manufacturing

·       5S

·       Good English communication skills

·       Strong analytical skills

·       Excellent organizational skills

·       Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
