Printer Operator/Production Operator

Job Duties:

  • Run the dry offset presses to the established production speeds and quality standards running at or above 105% efficiency.
  • Monitor quality of print throughout production runs...assuring that print match’s signed sample always.
  • Keep scrap at or below 2.0%.
  • Read and fully understand the ECS and shop orders making sure everything (packaging, labels, and skid tickets) are correct on final Product that goes out the door.
  • Oversee work crew that consists of a packer and loader.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, maintain, and perform minor maintenance on presses if needed.
  • Load or pack a press during an 8 or 12-hour shift monitoring inks and quality at the same time.
  • Will need tools to properly do the job after a 90-day probation period.
  • Abides by and enforces all WNA policy and procedures.
  • Works with safety first no compromise attitude.
  • Follows All GMP Policy and Procedures.
  • Keep press and surrounding area clean and organized with all adjustments clean of ink and no tape or temporary repairs on the press.
  • Works the hours they are scheduled to work since the position of operator is extremely critical in the day-to-day operation of the plant. Work shift will fall into the 24/5 or 24/7 operations of the plant.

Requirements:

  • Perform any other task that may be required and directed by supervisor.
  • Weekend work and overtime should be expected.
  • Must be able to manage a challenging environment.
  • Some mechanical skills.
  • Printing experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements include:

  • To be an active learner and listener with some troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Needs tohave some prior light mechanical ability: Printing operator experience is a big plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent .

2nd shift: $19.00/hr

3rd shift: $19.50/hr
