Job DescriptionJob Description
Position: Production Operator
Location: Culpeper, VA
Hours: 2nd shift. Mon-Fri, 4PM-12:00AM
Hours: 3rd Shift. Sun-Thurs 12AM-8AM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Production Operator Helper will assist the machine operators with setups, getting tools and any relevant supplies, and also with oversight of machines while they run. These positions will be split up between the subsections of our 2 plants (Cabling, Extrusion, Armor, Wire Mill).
The biggest need for operators/ helpers is in our Extrusion area. That's a lot of fine motor skills with their hands and requires strong attention to detail. If Extrusion goes off the rails, it scraps a lot of raw material, and the product has to be re-started.
REQUIREMENTS:
-- Minimium requirement is HS Diploma and background with industrial manufacturing, but we do train on-site because we're a niche company.
-- Our machines are NOT CNC machines so there will be exposure to machine parts and PPE (eyes, ears, safety-toe & metguard shoes) is required at all times on the production floor.
OTHER:
-- This is an entry level opening and training will be provided because our business is fairly niche in this area.
