Production Operator Compensation:
- Pay Rate: 21.00 per hour.
- Schedule: night shift, 21:00 – 07:30 Sunday night – Thursday morning., OT as needed to meet production demand
Production Operator Responsibilities:

Handle raw materials: transport from storage, weigh per batch requirements, and add to dump station/mixer.

Conduct inspection and reconciliation of batch labels for premixes.
-
Fill silos and complete final packaging activities (manual and automatic lines).
-
Perform sampling per batch requirement (homogeneity, carryover, process monitoring, quality plan lab submissions).

Conduct incoming 3PRM sampling, visual inspection, and release activities.
-
Perform finished goods visual inspection and release activities.
-
Safely palletize and store raw materials and/or finished goods.

Operate production equipment including:
-
Mixing, packaging, blending, charging station
-
Bagger/packer operations
-
Hoist and stand-up forklift
-
PPE and respirator use
-

Monitor equipment and production process parameters; record process conditions and actions.
-
Report deviations in processes, raw materials, or finished goods; assist with quality investigations and corrective actions.

Communicate relevant production information to incoming shift supervisor and colleagues.
-
Advise Lead Utility Mechanic of maintenance issues to ensure continuous operation.

Complete housekeeping and sanitation activities per Master Sanitation Schedule, cGMPs, 5S, and site guidelines.

Print batch labels and perform reconciliation activities for each batch.

Complete required computer-based and formal training modules (safety, quality, SDS, problem-solving, etc.).

Participate in site SHE culture, including Behavior-Based Safety and Safe Start programs.

Follow and promote all DSM Life Saving Rules and SHE/quality standards.

Display safety leadership by ensuring use of PPE, compliance with procedures, and maintaining a safe/clean environment.

Participate in inventory cycle counts.

Perform receiving, shipping, and warehouse duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Support and strengthen interdepartmental collaboration.

Contribute to projects and special assignments as required.
Production Operator Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs / 25 kg
- 1+ year of general warehouse or production experience (required)
- 6+ months of related production experience ()
- Forklift operation experience (standup)
- Computer proficiency
- Must pass a physical during screening (post-offer)
- Experience with batch production and quality standards ()
- Knowledge of SHE, GMP, and food/feed safety practices
Top 3 Skills/Requirements:
- Ability to lift 55 lbs / 25 kg
- Experience operating machinery and forklifts
