Production Operations Manager

Taylor Staffing is seeking a smart, highly organized, and extremely detail-oriented individual to join the leadership team as an Operations Manager for a production facility in Shawnee, OK. This is a critical, hands-on role that requires someone with proven experience managing and optimizing core business functions in a mid-sized company environment. This is an on-site position, candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
· Purchasing:
· Manage procurement of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods
· Negotiate vendor contracts and pricing
· Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demands
· Logistics & Warehousing:
· Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations
· Streamline warehousing processes and ensure accurate inventory management
· Collaborate with shipping partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
· Oversee pick, pack, and ship processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
· Manage logistics personnel involved in order fulfillment, including warehouse staff and shipping coordinators
· Production:
· Work closely with production teams to ensure materials availability and scheduling
· Monitor production timelines, quality control, and process improvements
· Operations:
· Lead cross-functional operations initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
· Develop and implement standard operating procedures
· Analyze key operational metrics and drive data-informed decision-making
Required Qualifications:
· Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, production, and operations at a mid-sized company
· Managerial experience, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team
· Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (ideally NetSuite)
· Exceptional organizational skills and acute attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills
Qualifications:
· Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, ecommerce, or retail environment
· Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field
