We are an award-winning production company that creates high-end behind-the-scenes content for globally acclaimed feature films and series, with clients worldwide. We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Production and Operations Lead with experience running a production office to join the team on a maternity cover contract. A high level of experience in cinematic documentary and/or film marketing is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:


Operational Management

• Oversee and refine operational processes across the business

• Develop, implement and optimise workflows from pre-production through post-production

• Manage schedules to guarantee timely delivery of all projects

• Handle company accounts, insurance renewals, HR, and financial projections


Budget Management

• Prepare, track, and manage production budgets

• Ensure projects stay within financial constraints and resources are allocated effectively

• Negotiate with vendors, freelancers, and contractors for the best rates and quality

• Approve overtime and expenses for both freelance and full-time staff


Team Leadership

• Lead production and post-production teams, fostering collaboration between departments

• Act as the main point of contact for all staff, addressing needs and concerns

• Oversee hiring and training of all necessary personnel


Project Oversight

• Supervise logistics of shoots, including location scouting, equipment hire, and transportation

• Oversee post-production logistics and timelines

• Troubleshoot issues with creative yet practical solutions, providing technical guidance to the team

• Approve schedules, hires, and expenses


Production & Post-Production

• Collaborate with producers to define creative direction, timelines, budgets, and logistical needs

• Monitor budgets to keep expenses within limits

• Negotiate contracts and rates with global vendors, suppliers, and crew

• Oversee post-production revisions to ensure the final product meets the creative vision


Vendor & Relationship Management

• Build and nurture relationships with suppliers, studios, and freelance talent

• Manage contracts and agreements with key industry partners


Risk & Compliance

• Identify and mitigate production risks, ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards

• Lead security audits and maintain a robust business continuity plan


Strategic Planning

• Work with the CEO to shape long-term growth and scalability strategies

• Analyse past projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs

• Manage company cashflow and provide strategic forecasting solutions
