Production Manager – CNC Machining & Fabrication
Location: Clearfield, Utah (Onsite)

Position Overview:
NOW CFO is recruiting for a confidential client seeking a skilled Production Manager – CNC Machining & Fabrication to lead daily machining and fabrication operations. This leadership role requires hands-on management of CNC production processes, personnel leadership, and operational oversight across different shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC production management within a manufacturing environment and proven experience driving process improvements and managing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of machining and fabrication departments, including CNC mills/lathes and supporting equipment.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale across the machining and fabrication process to drive positive results.
- Direct and manage employees across multiple shifts including team leads, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, performance management, and termination.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean manufacturing principles, driving operational efficiency and managing change initiatives.
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes to ensure ongoing improvement in productivity and safety.
- Monitor, manage, and report on key departmental metrics (KPIs), production schedules, and operational budgets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, supply chain, engineering, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure production deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and all safety regulations; champion a culture of safety in daily operations.
- Identify root causes of production issues and implement effective corrective actions to support process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules with the maintenance team.
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the company ERP system, production scheduling, and resource planning tools.
- Lead employee development and engagement programs to strengthen workforce capabilities and retention.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining and production management experience
- Experience managing in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience overseeing multiple shifts and teams.
- Must have schedule flexibility to work with and oversee employees across all shifts, including swing and graveyard.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- Six Sigma certification or training
- Membership or involvement in professional or industry associations
- Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 annually
- Bonus potential
