The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Production Engineer to join our team and drive the optimization of our production operations. You’ll be a key player in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our producing assets, responsible for everything from monitoring well performance and analyzing data to planning and overseeing production operations. Your work will be vital in recommending improvements, assisting with AFE development, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Morgantown, West Virginia, office. You’ll be expected to work in the office three days a week.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plan, execute, and oversee production operations, coordinating with production and facilities teams.
  • Monitor and analyze well performance using SCADA, Spotfire, and other software platforms.
  • Assist Operations Department with AFE development, tracking, and production monitoring.
  • Recommend and participate in workover and artificial lift applications for improved production rates.
  • Conduct well reviews and post-well analysis for optimization.
  • Generate management reports, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with various teams for safe operations.
  • Be available for on-call support during emergencies.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or relevant field.
  • 0-5 years in a similar role, or 3 years directly in production operations, with a preference for experience in condensate and/or oil production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Proficient in plunger lift operations.
  • Proficient knowledge in de-liquefaction and artificial lifting process of horizontal wells, and good understanding of trouble shooting loaded wells.
  • Extensive understanding of principles and operations of producing from horizontal unconventional wells.
  • Experience with Spotfire or equivalent data visualization software
  • Familiar with regulatory reporting requirements, AFEs, and budgets.
  • Ability to make efficient and timely decisions, address various operational and relevant issues in a timely manner, both remotely and over the phone for technical and non-technical problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.  
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment. 
  • Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including harsh weather and rugged terrain. 
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
