Production Engineer (Electronics) – Derbyshire/Notts – LM1234a\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nJob Term: Full Time/Permanent\n\nJob Outline:\n\nMy client, who is a leading manufacturer of specialist electronic equipment, now seeks an experienced Production Engineer to join their growing team based close to Derby.\n\nThe successful candidate will be a production engineer with a strong background in electronics, who thrives on the challenge of optimising the practical manufacture of electronics and cable assemblies to internationally recognised standards.\n\nReporting directly to the Managing Director, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives for all aspects of product manufacture, from best practice for solder joints to determining and implementing any necessary in-process functional testing.\n\nYou will specify, commission and maintain production equipment, in-house tooling and test fixtures.\n\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions and preventive actions to resolve recurring production issues.\n\nYou will also provide training and technical support to production operators and technicians, and work with the design team to lead the transfer of new and custom products into production.\n\nIn addition, you will also define, prepare, audit and maintain production documentation including standard operating procedures, work instructions and control plans.\n\nYou will also support the collection and monitoring of process metrics (Yield, Scrap) and report to management.\n\nIn return my client can offer an excellent salary, along with a dynamic and positive working environment, and for the right candidate strong career progression possibilities.\n\nQualifications:\n\nIt is expected that you will have a HND or higher in Electronic Engineering or similar.\n\nIndustry experience is essential\n\nAdditional information:\n\nCandidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK.
