Production Engineer – Manufacturing

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits

We’re working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Basingstoke that is looking to add a talented Production Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that invests in its people, processes, and technology.

The Role

As a Production Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the shop floor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Optimising production processes to improve efficiency and output
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI) into manufacturing
• Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions
• Developing and maintaining work instructions and process documentation
• Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure production targets are met

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering background and hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Production or Manufacturing Engineering role
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
