Job Description
Roc Search's client has a vacancy for a Production Engineer with a Manufacturing background to join their team based near Alton.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Develop, optimise and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and ensure product quality.
- Create detailed process documentation for new & legacy product such as Assembly Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Work Instructions, PFMEAs, Control Plans and Workflows.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and operational excellence across the production environment.
- Develop and maintain programming for coating and solder machines, ensuring optimal machine performance and product quality.
- To complete production fixture design, build & qualification (Either outsourced or using in-house 3D printing machines)
- Apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Root Cause Analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate existing production lines and propose enhancements in layout, tooling and automation to improve throughput and ergonomics.
- Work with design, quality, and production teams during a New Product Introduction to ensure smooth process setup, handover and manufacturability.
- Identify, investigate and resolve process-related issues that impact yield, quality or efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, IPC, J-STD, IATF, UL)
- To learn, maintain and support the Automation and Equipment/machinery (PCB de-panelling, Selective/Wave soldering machines, PCB cleaning equipment etc)

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering Discipline
- 4+ years' experience within a Manufacturing environment
- Mechanical engineering knowledge
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 14001, IATF, UL, J-STD, IPC
- Working knowledge and experience of continuous improvement skills
