- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives in production processes and materials. Contribute to overall departmental objectives.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles. Enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Analyze production data and metrics (e.g., CPI, SPI, quality index) to identify areas for improvement and drive process optimization.
- Production Support & Optimization:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to the production floor. Resolve build issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely solutions to maintain production flow.
- Develop and optimize assembly processes for hardware (e.g., PCB assembly, wiring harnesses).
- Maintain detailed documentation of production processes. This includes standard operating procedures, test procedures, and quality control records.
- Preproduction Activities:
- Support preproduction builds and analyze results to identify potential production risks and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component readiness and quality for preproduction and production phases.
