Production Engineer \n\nGloucester\n\nUp to £47,000 per annum + Benefits\n\nPermanent Position\n\nOverview:\n\nWe are recruiting a Production Engineer to support the fabrication and assembly of mechanical equipment. This hands-on role bridges engineering and manufacturing by managing BOMs, drawing control, and MRP systems to ensure efficient production workflows.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProduce and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical assemblies.\n\nManage drawing submissions, issue controls, and revision updates to workshop.\n\nInterface with engineering and production to coordinate material flow and fabrication readiness.\n\nMaintain and update the MRP system with material status, shortages, and order tracking.\n\nSupport the workshop with up-to-date documentation, kits of parts, and assembly aids.\n\nMonitor production progress and resolve technical queries with engineering teams.\n\nAssist in quality documentation, traceability, and final inspection readiness.\n\nExperience and Skills Required:\n\nExperience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication engineering role.\n\nExperience working with mechanical / special purpose equipment.\n\nStrong knowledge of fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and workshop practices.\n\nExperience using MRP or ERP systems.\n\nExcellent coordination skills with engineering, purchasing, and workshop teams.\n\nCertifications/Technical Knowledge:\n\nUnderstanding of mechanical fabrication, MEP standards.\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing safety procedures and site readiness.\n\nFor more information, contact Rory McStay
