Edgebander Operator

Henrybuilt is seeking an experienced team member to operate and maintain our edge banders within Seattle’s design and manufacturing operation. You will work on a team of project managers, builders and specialists producing a wide range of furniture and cabinetry systems.

Highly developed craft, communication and problem-solving skills are required as well as an exceptional work ethic and a long-term interest in a career with the company.

Job responsibilities and expectations:

• Edgebander operation as well as executing some secondary operations to prepare cabinet parts for assembly.
• Maintaining the machines on their daily, weekly, and monthly cycles

Primary requirements:

• A high mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read plans and shop drawings
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong goal and drive to produce exceptional quality and be accountable for results
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to lift 50lb repeatedly and be mobile all day
• Comfortable operating hand-held power tools: routers, table saw, chop saw
• Strong desire for long term career success in this business

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years direct edgebander experience
• Substantial experience working on complex, high quality projects. Excellent decision-making, planning, judgment and reporting skills.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
