Production/Demand Planner(Music/Entertainment Business)

Duties:

• Analyze historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and prepare forecast data. Develop statistical forecast models and evaluate their accuracy.
• Coordinate cross-functional research to reconcile significant variances and update the forecast model based on sales and marketing assumptions.
• Improve the data planning model to capture demand for each channel, supporting accurate forecasting.
• Advise the Supply Planning team on inventory strategies for existing products, new launches, and product phase-outs.
• Apply statistical models to assess risk, error, and growth in forecasting.
• Recommend and achieve consensus on operational demand forecasts through collaborative planning with sales, tours, web, and finance teams:
  • Prepare materials to support discussions and research.
  • Provide input for volume planning and annual estimates.
  • Facilitate demand planning and customer meetings.
  • Align business and demand chain objectives.
• Maintain the demand planning system:
  • Enter and update data accurately, ensuring the product hierarchy is correct.
  • Monitor forecast trends and errors.
  • Track market and competitor data relevant to demand planning.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to demand planning.
• Develop accurate consumer demand forecasts to help the company plan its supply chain effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and create a consensus forecast.
• Continuously refine systems and methods to improve forecast accuracy.
• Provide feedback on customer replenishment and highlight opportunities or risks to the Supply Chain team.

Skills:

• Advanced Excel and system skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• 2–3 years of experience in demand planning.
• Proficient in statistics, forecasting, and understanding financial and operational impacts.
• Knowledge of SAP/APO and other demand planning software .
• Experienced with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills to interact effectively across teams and business levels.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree
