Production and Quality Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Production and Quality Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and quality operations in the production of crop protection chemicals and related formulations. This role requires a solid background in chemical formulations, HPLC analysis, and team leadership, with a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-spec output of agricultural chemical products.
  • Oversee mixing, batching, filling, and packaging operations, ensuring consistency with formulation standards.
  • Work closely with R&D and formulation chemists to scale up new products for field and commercial use.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain as needed.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Conduct and oversee HPLC analysis of raw materials, in-process batches, and final products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality data, test results, and batch documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state-level agricultural regulations.
  • Lead investigations into product deviations or non-conformities and implement CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

Leadership & Process Improvement:

  • Supervise and train production and lab personnel on SOPs, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in agricultural chemical manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of agrochemical formulations, emulsions, and suspensions.
  • Proven experience with HPLC testing, method development, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing agricultural inputs (e.g. EPA, FIFRA).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with other analytical methods (GC, UV-Vis, pH, density, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, ODOO).
