Product Line Engineering Manager

Location: St Neots (PE19 8YP), Cambridge Hours: full time, 40 hours a week. Hybrid working optional. In the role of Product Line Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new and exciting range of products. You will have a dedicated team of mixed disciplines across hardware and software who will report into you, and who you will line and project manage to drive new product development from concept to production. This role suits someone with a proven track record of Project Management working with multidisciplined teams along with being a seasoned line manger capable of growing and motivating a talent pool of engineers. We are seeking a Product Line Engineering Manager who thrives on growing a team and skillsets, as well as being hands-on. Your role: You will be responsible for effective project planning to determine the most efficient route to deliver the best outcome, motivate your team and driving them to success, monitoring and controlling the project, including scheduling, costs, risk and opportunities. In addition to this you will be communicating and reporting across all stakeholders as well as performance management and personal development reviews. We need you to reinforce the process and contribute to continual process improvements and adhere to ISO9001 and ISO14001. What we are looking for: Someone with line management and project management experience. More specifically… Line Management: A good appreciation and preferably experience incorporating: Management of a multidisciplined team Technical leadership in at least one area Mentoring of junior team members Performance management and personal development Reinforcing process and setting standards Project Management: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar subject. Several years of experience in the execution and successful delivery of product development projects Strong leadership and excellent team working capabilities Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills at all levels within a company Thorough knowledge of the professional project management process areas, methodologies, and tools Preferably trained in project management with accredited certification through APM, Prince 2, IPM or equivalent Your schedule: This role is a full-time position, 40 hours a week based in our St Neots office! We do offer hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office) but it is completely up to you whether you choose to work in this way.
