Product Expert
The Product Expert is a specialist in a specific module or component of the product or technology. They provide deep functional and/or technical expertise in their specific domain and are responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of their product. They are responsible for gathering, clarifying business requirements and defining processes to streamline the execution and provide technical guidance and support to other team members. This Product Expert's mission is to serve as the functional point of contact for Pipeline Operations and Plant OT Services business areas (including the GeoSCADA application and the OT services provided by GIO for this specific position) and is the link to the various D&IT resources needed for successful implementation and support of business needs. This person is an expert with the Pipeline Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition application (GeoSCADA) and works closely with the Operations Control Center business owners to assist in day-to-day operational needs. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for the business to support the management of the OT Services provided by GIO for all the primary production facilities in the Americas.
GeoSCADA Product Management
Provide functional leadership of the GeoSCADA application and the associated integrations with other systems
Act as the primary liaison between business and internal D&IT teams
Define required functional, performance, security and compatibility tests to ensure all is working after integration of the product to systems
Participate in UAT, quality control and hypercare
Capture & understand business needs, engaging with relevant stakeholders and performing needed analysis
Convert requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements
Secure maintenance of requirements throughout product lifecycle, translating product backlog into functional and non-functional requirements at each phase
Analyze requirements from new business needs and compare them to the functionalities of existing GeoSCADA system, deep diving on technical and functional specifications, dependencies and interactions between new and existing systems
Align technological components with the Product strategy
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners involved in product delivery, ensuring their contributions align with product support needs and quality standards
Work closely with Product Manager to ensure that product features are technically feasible and sustainable within given timelines
OT Services Delivery Management
Responsible for successful end to end delivery of the OT services to the business working with product managers within GIO
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and various internal and external stakeholders, including GIO Product Managers and Experts, Plant Operations Personnel, Control system Engineers, OT Protection Coordinators etc.
Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and business requirements for technical teams
Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product delivery, including timelines, budget adherence, quality metrics, and team velocity
Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and business objectives to ensure product delivery aligns with business demands and user expectations
Education, Training or Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline required
8+ years combined experience in: Pipeline Operations, OT or SCADA operations/applications
Strong knowledge of Plant and Pipeline Operations, processes

Knowledge of pipeline field instrumentation, communication with distributed control systems and networking hardware.
