JOB PURPOSE or JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform duties to create and modify models in an end-to-end enterprise manufacturing system and coordinate with Project Management, Design, and Drafting team members to ensure product specifications and customer expectations are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and program cabinet models and/or tops in multiple software packages.
- Create and modify programs for nested and point to point CNC machines utilizing multiple software packages.
- Test new cabinet configurations to ensure programming is functioning properly and quality specifications are met.
- Assign feature/option sets to modified product configurations.
- Work with Project Managers, Designers, Drafters and other Engineers to ensure cabinet designs meet company standards and satisfy customer requirements.
- Collaborate with production staff and quality to investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions to eliminate future occurrences.
- Maintain or create a bill of materials for standard or modified products, including creating part numbers for new items.
- Prioritize and organize work ensuring that tasks are successfully completed within defined timeframes and meet predetermined deadlines.
- Create, revise logs for production and project work.
- Assist Product Development and R&D when needed to help conceptualize and prototype new ideas.
- Work with Procurement and outside vendors as needed for Product Development and R&D.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate closely with others within the Engineering department.
- Collaborate with Senior Product Design Engineers on projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing.
Experience and/or Training: Some coursework in computer aided design software (AutoCAD) and/or SolidWorks or Inventor.
Licenses/Certificates: None
Technology/Equipment: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and entry level in one or more of the following: AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: College or technical courses related to engineering and/or a manufacturing background.
Experience and/or Training:
Technology/Equipment:
- Familiarity with an ERP/MRP system, IMOS, and experience using CNC Programming
- Knowledge with 2020/Cyncly Software Systems
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi-frequently lift up to 15 lbs. Some tasks may require the employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor office working environment. Office is temperature-controlled all year round. Minimal hazards identified.
