Client: BAE SystemsJob Title: Product EngineerDuration: 12 monthsLocation : Glascoed - hybridHourly Rate: £28.47 PAYE or £38.25 UmbrellaWorking Arrangements: - 37hrs per weekAbout The Role:As a Product Development Engineer within the Electronic Technology team, you will work primarily on new technology development feeding novel product lines within Munitions and provide occasional support to the production of existing munitions products.You will be expected to work independently on challenging work, carrying out Systems Engineering activities and creating designs for prototype systems, organising and conducting trials, and providing honest, complete, reports to both immediate and local senior management.Key Responsibilities :Specification and analysis of technology testbeds and early products against business requirementsProduction of prototype test vehicle designs, working with Senior CAD Designers as appropriateProduction of multi-domain physics models for the initial investigation of system performanceSpecifying, risk assessing, conducting, and reporting on trials ranging from bench tests to LIVE demonstrationsProvide technical assistance and advice to all functionsParticipation in lifecycle management activitiesSkills & Qualifications :Degree or Time Served Apprenticeship including electronic design and test aspects, or equivalent experienceProven experience within an Engineering role in industryExperience operating Computer Aided Design packages, ideally including Siemens NXExperience in hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation in support of trial activitiesFamiliar with the life cycle management (LCM) processGood knowledge and understanding of trials safety data packsA good standard of computer literacy, ideally including MATLAB, and report writing abilityIf you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Sam Pierre-Louis on 0161 383 8022 for more information.About BAE:BAE Systems is a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company.
