Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Design Engineer with a strong background in complex mechanical design to help drive the next of Method Golf products. This role will be deeply involved in concept development, CAD design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support for high-end magnetic accessories used in demanding outdoor environments.

This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced product development environment and enjoys taking products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready drawings (SolidWorks )
• Lead design for magnetic attachment systems, mechanisms, and structural components
• Collaborate closely with founders, marketing, sourcing, and manufacturing partners
• Manage rapid prototyping, testing, and design iteration cycles
• Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFA)
• Support tooling development, first articles, and production ramp-up
• Participate in intellectual property development and patent support

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in complex mechanical product design
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• High proficiency in CAD design; SolidWorks strongly
• Experience designing consumer products and/or outdoor accessories
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with injection molding, CNC machining, and assembly design
• Proven ability to take products from concept to mass production
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team environment

Experience

• Experience with magnetic systems or high-retention attachment mechanisms
• Consumer electronics mounts, accessories, or ruggedized products
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers
• Familiarity with product testing, validation, and quality control
