Procurement Project Manager (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Mountain View, CA (On-site)
Pay: $30–$50/hour (equivalent to $60K–$100K annually, DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: This is a fully onsite position based in Mountain View, CA, (potential to convert to full-time for the right candidate)

 

A luxury interior design firm is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement for custom furnishings and materials—from budgeting and purchase orders to vendor coordination, logistics, and installation.

 

The ideal candidate has experience in Studio Designer software and prior exposure to interior design, architecture, or luxury furnishings. However, candidates with transferable experience in bookkeeping, accounting, executive assistance, or project coordination are encouraged to apply if they have strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of the procurement process, including quotations, purchase orders, order tracking, payments, delivery coordination, and installation oversight.
  • Serve as the in-house Studio Designer software expert, ensuring all data is accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Communicate directly with vendors, artisans, and fabricators to confirm details, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of custom orders.
  • Verify specifications, finishes, dimensions, and pricing prior to production for quality control.
  • Process and track deposits, progress payments, and final invoices with accuracy and accountability.
  • Coordinate logistics including shipping, warehousing, and white-glove delivery with clear communication and attention to detail.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or project coordination.
  • Studio Designer proficiency (training available).
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in design, architecture, or custom furnishings a plus.
