This isa great opportunityfor a procurement professional who wants to broaden their experience, work across a varied pipeline of projects, and play a key role in embedding compliant,commercialand socially responsible procurement across Southern Housing.Why join Southern Housing?You will join a supportive and knowledgeable procurement team at a time of change and opportunity.You willhave the chance to work on a varied pipeline of projects, build strong relationships across the business, contribute to better outcomes for , and develop yourexpertisein public procurement,sustainabilityand social value.What youll be doing:Support the delivery of our annual tendering and procurement activity through eProcurement systemsSupport procurement training and provide guidance on policies and proceduresInvolve in procurement planning and project co-creationSupport contract awards and prepare contract management documentationRecord and report on social, environmental and economic value delivered through the supply chainBuild strong relationships with stakeholders to support effective procurement activityPromote opportunities to SMEs through market engagement and supplier networksThis role can be based in any of our offices and will require attendance at our Farringdon office (London) for team meetings. This is a hybrid working role with the option to work from home 3 days per week.
Home-working days will be agreed with your line manager.What youll need:Strong knowledge of procurement processes and proceduresUnderstanding of Procurement Act 2023,Public Contracts Regulations 2015,Social Value (Public Services) Act 2012and relevant Procurement Policy NotesExperience of contract management and a good understanding of contract terms and conditionsKnowledge of social value and sustainable procurement as well as understanding of the housing sectorCIPS Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent experience) , with willingness to work towards the Advanced DiplomaStrong IT skills, including MS Office, eProcurement and purchase-to-pay systemsExcellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities and interpret financial data to support value-for-money outcomesIn your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above eight criteria providing real examples.?Closing Date : 7 July 2026 (Tuesday) at 23:59Shortlisting Date : 9 July 2026Interview Dates : in-person interviews will be 15 July 2026 at our Farringdon Office (London)Please note: We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.
