Procurement Manager , you’ll be at the heart of major infrastructure projects, overseeing people and procurement strategies that fuel innovation and efficiency.
In this role, you will shape supplier relationships, drive competitive bid processes with integrity, and ensure the seamless procurement of critical materials. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—business development, estimating, and engineering—to craft winning material supply strategies that set projects up for success.
With a strong electrical background and leadership experience, you will guide procurement and expediting teams, optimize contract negotiations, track commodity markets, and maintain global vendor partnerships. Your analytical expertise will be invaluable in forecasting, budgeting, and evaluating purchasing behavior to enhance project performance.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum
5 years of experience
in Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Substation, or Energy sectors.
Strong
electrical background
is essential.
Industry experience in
T&D/Energy/Substation —candidates with procurement experience solely in oil/gas will not be considered.
Open to individuals who are Assistant Project Managers with 4+ years of experience
or
Project Managers (PMs)
with a robust electrical foundation.
Procurement experience is but not required; candidates should demonstrate
project management expertise
rather than holding procurement-specific titles.
Duties:
Manage and oversee Procurement and Expeditor team members.
Support business development and estimating teams by creating innovative material supply strategies for large infrastructure projects.
Lead material bid processes by soliciting pricing from a global supplier network.
Negotiate contracts with successful material supply bids.
Track commodity markets to identify and mitigate material risks.
Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships worldwide.
Monitor project success by tracking forecasted, budgeted, and actual material pricing.
Expedite material deliveries by managing manufacturing, shipment, and receipt status.
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Education:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the
Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry.
Proven knowledge in construction contract administration, EPC procurement, and business law.
Experience with supplier and subcontractor prequalification, Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, contract , vendor submittal management, and expediting oversight on EPC T&D projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience & Education:
Experience managing a procurement team.
Prior experience collaborating with engineering teams and contractors on material specifications and bill of materials reviews.
Strong industry relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Skills:

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to communicate effectively with executive-level management.
Strong customer service and time management skills.
