Procurement Manager in Georgetown

Job Description

This role is for a Procurement Manager who will lead the procurement strategy within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The individual will collaborate closely with teams in Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations to ensure the timely procurement of materials. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and mitigate supply chain risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization's procurement strategy to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

\n

• Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials, ensuring timely procurement.

\n

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable commercial agreements to optimize costs.

\n

• Drive continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

\n

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and supplier performance.

\n

• Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team to achieve strategic objectives.

\n

Required Qualifications:

\n
• 10–15 years of progressive procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

\n

• Minimum of 5 years leading procurement teams and demonstrating effective leadership skills.

\n

• Experience with strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier development, and inventory management.

\n

• Demonstrated knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and their application in procurement processes.

\n

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
