About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize procurement activities for one of our clients in the air cargo logistics industry. The role requires a senior profile capable of defining and deploying sourcing strategies, driving supplier performance, and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining operational excellence.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage a spend portfolio exceeding 30M€, ensuring maximum value creation
- Lead sourcing activities across categories including Transport, Logistics, Temporary Labor, and Facility Management
- Drive data-driven decision-making to optimize supplier selection, contract negotiations, and cost savings
- Monitor procurement performance through KPIs, spend analysis, and market intelligence
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in logistics industry
- Freelancers/Contractors will be considered
Required Skills
- Proven track record in procurement with the ability to design and deploy sourcing strategies
- Strong expertise in procurement processes and best practices
- Solid category management experience in Transport, Logistics, Temporary Labor, and Facility Management
- Highly data-driven with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Ability to influence at senior management level and drive change
