Position Summary:

Perform material planning and replenishment activities for all inventoried, raw material components and production supplies needed in the manufacturing and assembling of Tervis products. Manage supplier communications to ensure established delivery schedules are met, negotiated material costs are maintained, and Supplier conforms to Tervis Quality standards

Essential Functions:

  • Generate and manage purchase orders for the company
  • Maintain ERP system information accuracy related to vendors
  • Own the daily working relationship with the suppliers, present scorecards and work on improvement initiatives with suppliers
  • Review and process supplier related Non-Conforming Material Reports received from Quality representative - includes contacting the affected supplier to determine disposition of defective materials, requesting replacement material if required, and communicating credit/charge back details
  • Participate in cost savings initiatives and cost avoidance efforts in support of individual, department, and company goals
  • Other job duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Materials Management or similar area
  • 7-10 years' purchasing, material planning and inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Cost management and supplier negotiation experience a plus
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems (ex: Business Central) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
