At HTE you can make a difference within your role, take pride in your work and be part of a team that is taking the company into a new and exciting era.\n\nWho are we?\n \nWe offer solutions to manage spend effectively and improve performance, working with both public and private healthcare and non-healthcare providers to optimise the use of products and services to identify cost saving opportunities and best value.\n\nDUTIES (included, but not limited to):\n \nCategory Knowledge\n\nUnderstand or demonstrate an aptitude to learn the product categories assigned and within their team and how end-users interface with the products/services \nUnderstand or demonstrate an ability to learn in-depth aspects of categories, which includes:\n\nProduct comparisons between supplier offerings and impact on providers in deriving value through procurement opportunities\nInterpretation and use of market information provided by HealthTrust Europe Sales & Marketing Team and US Global Sourcing Team to drive commercial and technical opportunities.\nFuture product pipeline and impact on market\nProduct features and benefits\n\nSupplier Knowledge\nDevelop and use knowledge about suppliers to build strategies, create leverage, mitigate risks, anticipate direction of the market and potential supplier direction.\n\nDiscuss future product pipelines with suppliers\nReview current or future opportunities\nInvestigate new supplier entrants to market\nMarket analysis - Understand future product pipeline and impact on market.\nUnderstand supplier offerings and USPs. \nSourcing Process\n\nDemonstrate a thorough understanding and accountability for the sourcing process for their assigned portfolio. Including market research, bid drafting and preparation, RFI, Strategy Development & Validation, SQ, RFP/ITT, bid evaluation, contract Negotiations, contract management and contract launch\nUndertake a pre-market assessment of award scenarios and utilise outputs to inform sourcing strategies for assigned categories\nUndertake end to end sourcing initiatives in line with the organisation’s sourcing practices\nPresent category strategies and final awards to internal and/or external stakeholders for review and discussion\n\nSupplier and Customer Relationship Management\n\nManage the supplier relationship during the sourcing process \nParticipate in supplier business reviews and reviews new products/technologies/services as they arise in assigned categories\nBuild strong relationships with senior level supplier contacts \nIdentify key customer relationships to be established, to support the growth of the assigned portfolio\nBuild and nurture effective customer relationships through frequent interactions (all levels, including executive) and engagement activities\nWork collaboratively with suppliers and customers to drive best value\n\nLine Management\n\nRecognise and support any development gaps individuals may have \nCreate time to conduct effective appraisals and career conversations to ensure their team is motivated and have the right capability to conduct the activity required of them in their role\nDemonstrate and display HTE's Values statements and encourages values led behaviour across their team\nMeet financial & operational goals in the annual contracting plan\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\n\nEssential\n\nProven Public Sector procurement experience delivering complex procurement projects in line with The Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015)\nKnowledge of the Procurement Act 2023\nExperience in people management - ability to delegate, empower and develop people’ skills and knowledge\nA proven track record of delivery against targets\nStrategic Sourcing and Category Management experience\nSupplier relationship management\nEffective project management and planning skills for complex procurement projects running concurrently\nA proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset\nAccomplished user of e-Procurement systems, Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook\n\nDesirable\n\nUnderstanding of EU Directives\nUnderstanding of Group Purchasing Organisations\nEvidence of achievements in savings and/or service improvements\nExperience of working with large stakeholder groups\nMember or training to be a member of the Chartered Institute of purchasing and Supply, and works in accordance with the CIPS Code of Ethics\n \nWhy work for us?\n \nYou’ll be part of a collaborative and mission-driven team that values innovation, integrity, and impact.
