Job Description

Right Now Group are working with an international manufacturing organisation located in Basingstoke who are recruiting for a Procurement Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement or supply chain professional to take the next step into a role with greater operational responsibility, global stakeholder engagement, and influence across sourcing, manufacturing, and product strategy within an electronics manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Procurement Manager
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Hybrid working 3 Days WFH)
Location: Basingstoke

Role Overview

\n

The Procurement Specialist will support purchasing and supply chain operations within a manufacturing organisation producing electrical and electronic products.

\n

The role will focus on maintaining supply continuity, managing component sourcing, supporting cost control initiatives, and working closely with global manufacturing partners to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.

\n

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product and component costing to support commercial and budget targets
  • \n

  • Monitor global supply chains to maintain component availability
  • \n

  • Provide day-to-day operational procurement and purchasing support
  • \n

  • Negotiate pricing to achieve cost reduction objectives
  • \n

  • Support supply chain optimisation and value improvement projects
  • \n

  • Work with international contract manufacturing partners to deliver best cost, quality, and lead time performance
  • \n

  • Analyse bills of materials within an electrical and electronic manufacturing environment to identify supply and cost risks
  • \n

  • Provide procurement input into new product introduction, engineering design, and programme costing
  • \n

  • Track market and technology trends impacting long-term sourcing and component availability
  • \n

Candidate Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of bills of materials in an electrical or electronic manufacturing environment is essential
  • \n

  • Proven experience delivering cost savings within manufacturing or electronics sectors
  • \n

  • Experience working with global suppliers or contract manufacturing partners is highly desirable
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not essential
  • \n

  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and analytical ability
  • \n
