Procurement Manager
JOB OVERVIEW
The key objective of the Procurement Manager is to contribute to the growth and profitability of Multi-Pak Packaging by effectively executing and accounting for all procurement within Multi-Pak. The primary functions are to:
- Manage commercial and supplier relationships in the packaging space.
- Has the ability to research potential suppliers, product specifications and resources.
- Conducts supplier analyses, evaluates potential suppliers, and manages the overall supplier qualification process.
- Develops and creates sourcing plans, requests for proposals, and other sourcing documents.
- Evaluates and recommends purchasing and sourcing decisions to management.
· Work collaboratively with external and cross-functional departments to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials that meets Multi-Pak’s quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures purchases for required goods or services are made by recommending appropriate suppliers, costs, processes, etc.
- Checks requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for overseeing deliveries to ensure that schedules are adhered to as closely as possible.
- Evaluates and analyzes supplier proposals.
- Seeks and tracks savings opportunities.
- Performs analysis of spend data and process metrics to proactively recommend improvements.
- Extends the reach of Sourcing & Procurement by exercising appropriate influence within project teams, customer groups, and peer groups.
- Creates or leads project work streams.
- Directly address specific procurement issues by working collaboratively with stakeholders to reach resolutions.
- Ensures purchasing guidelines are understood and adhered to.
- Ensures all standards as defined by the purchasing department are followed and enforced.
- Runs, distributes and manages Supplier Open Order Reports.
- Manages part shortages and extended vendor lead times to satisfactory resolution.
- Reschedules purchase orders to meet changing customer needs.
- Process and coordinates replacement of non-conforming material.
- Sources various parts and solicit quotes from suppliers for wide variety of services and commodities in support of production and facility.
- Generates monthly metric reports. Works closely with other areas of the business, including accounting, engineering, quality, and operations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics
2. 5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Supply Planning, or Demand Planning areas
3. Solid communication and presentation skills
4. Advanced technical /computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint
5. Strong quantitative and analytical skills
6. Strong Collaboration Skills
7. Strong negotiating, time management & organization skills
8. Ability to manages multiple priorities effectively
9. Excels both within a team environment & works with minimal supervision
10. Ability to communicate in a professional manner via e-mail, phone or personally in a corporate setting
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
