Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We’re hiring a Procurement Contract Analyst to support and manage the County’s procurement process for goods and services. This role is essential to ensuring cost-effective, timely, and legally compliant acquisitions, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and managing complex contract workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure commodities and services using quotes, bids, and proposals based on project scope and budget.
- Draft and manage solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs, bid packets) and public notices.
- Oversee contract administration, including tracking execution, renewals, amendments, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with public records law by responding to records requests and archiving documentation.
- Attend and facilitate pre-bid meetings, bid openings, and vendor site visits.
- Conduct product and vendor research and apply current statutory requirements to contract .
- Coordinate and prepare detailed contract documents, bonds, notices, and reports.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience in bid documentation, procurement, or contract management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid State of Florida Driver’s License required at time of hire and must be maintained.
Skills & Qualifications
- Deep understanding of purchasing methods, public procurement laws, and ethical standards in government contracting.
- Ability to study and optimize manual work processes.
- Strong judgment and adaptability when applying professional standards to new or complex challenges.
- Familiarity with the structure and operations of county government.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write clear reports and business correspondence.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize department needs.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and data entry systems; able to retrieve and analyze contract data.
- Strong analytical skills to review bid and contract for compliance and accuracy.
- Capable of working independently, accurately, and under pressure with frequent interruptions.
- Calm and professional under stress, with a commitment to team collaboration and shared goals.
- High proficiency in customer service and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate local ordinances and resolutions effectively.
