We’re currently supporting a values-led organisation within the education sector to recruit a Procurement and Contracts Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a complex, multi-site environment.
You’ll join an established procurement function and take ownership of a varied category portfolio, helping to deliver strategic value, improve supplier performance, and support key organisational objectives.
The Role
Reporting into senior procurement leadership, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management activities across a diverse range of indirect spend areas, such as:
- Estates and Facilities
- Technology and Digital services
- Professional and Corporate services
- Operational spend categories
You’ll lead sourcing activity from strategy through to contract award, ensuring compliant, value-driven outcomes while supporting continuous improvement across the supply base.
Alongside sourcing, you will play a key role in supplier and contract management, driving performance, identifying efficiencies, and strengthening commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement projects and tender exercises from concept through to contract award
- Deliver compliant sourcing activity aligned to public sector best practice
- Develop category insight to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor contract performance
- Support continuous improvement and supplier development initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple locations
- Contribute to the delivery of wider procurement and commercial strategies
About You
- Experience running tenders and procurement exercises end-to-end
- Knowledge of public sector procurement legislation (including PA23)
- Strong supplier and contract management capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A commercial and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Full driving license and access to car required
