Job Description

Junior Procurement Analyst

Can be in Hoover, AL or Bessemer, AL

12 Months Contract

This role supports the day-to-day procurement activities of the Innovation Hub. The Junior Procurement Analyst will work directly with the Procurement Manager and help keep purchasing, vendors, and internal requests moving in a fast-paced. This is an entry-level role designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn procurement, operations, and supply chain fundamentals while being hands-on in real projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system
• Track orders and follow up with vendors on confirmations, deliveries, and issues
• Collect quotes and assist with basic price comparisons
• Maintain organized records for vendors, contracts, and purchases
• Support invoice matching and help resolve basic discrepancies with vendors and AP
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand needs and timelines
• Assist with new vendor setup and maintenance of vendor data
• Provide operational and administrative support to the Procurement team

Candidate Qualifications:

• 0–2 years of experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, finance, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in Excel and basic systems
• Clear communicator who is not afraid to follow up
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
• Able to work in a fast-moving, evolving environment
