Eagle Industries has an immediate opening for a Process Technician!
Eagle Industries is a leading manufacturer of molded polyurethane foam products and assemblies. Our facilities utilize the latest technologies, advanced manufacturing processes and polyurethane foam materials to manufacture custom solutions for automotive, industrial and other markets.
This role is for a 2nd shift position (3:30pm until 1:30am) with training conducted on 1st shift.
Main Responsibility: Process Technician is responsible for maintaining each of the foam systems process parameters, mold release applications, part quality and training of Eagle Industries production personnel. The Process Technician will perform the following duties in compliance with the requirements of ISO/TS 16949. The position opening is for a 2nd shift position (3:30pm until 1:30am) with training on 1st shift for approx. 6-8 months.
Essential Functions
- Hands on and understanding of urethane or foam processing.
- Monitor, maintain and documentation of each foam system process parameters.
- Setting up and monitoring urethane or foam molding machines.
- Analyze and trouble-shoot part defects and adjust process accordingly.
- Continuous process improvements.
- Perform and verify foam reactivity and free rise density is with in Eagle Industries process specifications per each cell daily.
- Adjust metering equipment to process the foam system under the required parameters.
- Troubleshoot any process related issues on products and correct.
- Work with and assist process engineers with product process development.
- Set up and ensure all molds are ready and running quality parts for all PPAP and Run at Rates submitted by Engineering.
- Produce sample prototype parts as needed by Engineering Department.
- Documentation and maintain data relative to current processes and product compliance.
- Provide training to Eagle Industries production personnel relative to proper production applications and methods on all new molds (Proper Demold, Cleaning, Mold release spray).
- Maintain process set-up sheets/work instructions.
- Assignments from Process Engineers and Management.
Skills
- Knowledge of Urethane Chemicals and Urethane Metering Equipment or knowledge and experience in injection molding processing will be highly considered
- Knowledge of general plant operation
- Ability to resolve manufacturing foam process
- Robotic programming a plus
- Ability to operate plant equipment
- Ability to solve math equations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Assertive, proactive, team player
- Familiar with standard operating procedures & work instructions
- Proficient in writing skills in English
- Proficient in speaking English
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Urethane Processing
- 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience in the automotive industry or equivalent education experience.
