About the Role:

The Process Technician on the off shifts play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of automotive manufacturing processes during overnight hours. This position is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding equipment to maintain high-quality output and meet production targets. The technician will collaborate closely with process engineering, operations and quality teams to implement process improvements and resolve any issues that arise on the manufacturing floor. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards are paramount to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in injection molding and automotive manufacturing.
  • Ability to work effectively on an off shift.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with process control systems and troubleshooting automated equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate manufacturing equipment to ensure continuous production flow during the shift.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve process and equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Document process data, production metrics, and maintenance activities accurately for reporting and analysis.
