LA Semiconductor is looking forProcess Technician
(for sustaining and continuous improvement in the semiconductor manufacturing process in, Cleans/Diffusion, Etch/Ash, WIE, Photolithography/CMP or Implant/Metal/Films.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilization of Fault Detection Control (FDC) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor equipment and process performance
- Spending significant time, i.e. 50%, on the manufacturing floor to monitor area performance, troubleshoot, engage and mentor operations workforce (including off-shifts)
- Ensure timely disposition of hold material
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Identifying and solving problems on a team level and independently.
- Utilize Promis, SPC, Oracle, Fault Detection Control, and other electronic media in problem-solving and general documentation of work performed.
- Follow prescribed procedures for safety, clean room, and documentation.
- Provide leadership to operations by providing training and mentoring when the opportunity presents itself.

- Ability to understand simple semiconductor equipment and processes
- Expertise in structured problem solving, e.g. 6 methodologies
- Able to perform work in a tie back suit as the majority of work is conducted in a cleanroom environment.
- Technical experience in at least one of the following areas: Cleans/Diffusion, Etch/Ash, WIE, Photolithography/CMP or
Implant/Metals/Films.
- Capable of standing for at least 75% of the time during any particular Shift.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge, training, and procedure comprehension to perform routine and sustaining in accordance with established procedures/specifications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format.
- Ability to work in a team environment. Individuals must be self-motivated and able to interface effectively with other groups and maintain organization with ability to prioritize one's tasks.
- Capable of working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided).
- Remain as shift flexible as possible as there exists the chance of being moved from the nights to the day shift (or vice versa), also must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays (we are a 24/7 facility).
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma.
- Production experience within the fab in one of the areas listed above for a minimum of 1 year.
Shifts:
Shift A - Day Shift Sunday -Tuesday; Every other Wednesday; 6:45am-7pm
Shift C - Day Shift Thursday-Saturday; Every other Wednesday 6:45 am-7pm
Shift: B - Sunday-Tuesday; Every other Saturday 6:45pm-7am
Shift D - Wednesday-Friday; Every other Saturday 6:45pm-7am
