SMV Recruiting is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Concord, NC on a confidential search for a seasoned 1st Shift Process Technician in their plastics injection molding operation within their stamping department.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on technical role supporting a plastics injection molding operation with brand-new molding and automation equipment. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and led by a tenured leadership team that promotes from within and invests in its people. This is a 1st shift position for an experienced technician who is relied on when equipment goes down. The role is primarily mechanical and maintenance focused (about 80%) with some work on automated and PLC-controlled equipment (about 20%). If you are a molding technician who takes pride in fixing machines, keeping lines running, and supporting production, this is a long-term opportunity with stability and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment
• Respond to equipment downtime and restore production quickly
• Perform mold changes, setups, and process adjustments
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
• Support automated and PLC-controlled equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Lead setup technicians and support production needs

Requirements:

• 8+ years of stamping experience
• 8+ years of hands-on injection molding experience
• Strong mechanical and maintenance troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automated and PLC-controlled equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
