Role Description This is a contract, on-site Process Server role based in Eugene, OR. The Process Server is responsible for delivering legal documents such as summonses, subpoenas, and court notices to designated recipients in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing service instructions, planning and executing routes, verifying identities, documenting attempts and successful service, and completing accurate affidavits or proofs of service. The role also involves coordinating with office staff, responding to inquiries from clients and courts, and maintaining secure handling of sensitive documents. The Process Server must manage time effectively, follow established service processes, and represent Jag Legal Process Service in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of legal frameworks, including basic understanding of Law and Courts relevant to service of process.
  • \n

  • Experience or training in Service Processes, including proper procedures for serving and documenting legal papers.
  • \n

  • Skills in Legal Document Preparation, such as completing affidavits, proofs of service, and related forms accurately.
  • \n

  • Ability to participate in and apply Training to stay current on legal requirements, safety practices, and company procedures.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and organizational skills to manage multiple service assignments.
  • \n

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with recipients, clients, and court personnel.
  • \n

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to navigate local areas in and around Eugene, OR.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all applicable laws and company policies.
