Job Description
Process Safety / HSE Manager\n\nLocation: Manchester Area \n\nType: Permanent\n\nSalary: Competitive + Benefits\n\nSRG are currently recruiting for a Process Safety / Health and Safety Manager for a successful and growing manufacturing client based in the Manchester area.\n\nKey Responsibilities (including but not limited to):\n\nProcess Safety Leadership\n\nDevelop and own the Process Safety Management System (PSMS) aligned with UK law and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)\nLead HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA studies and define/verify Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF/SIL)\nDrive compliance with DSEAR and implement robust safety measures. \n\nHealth & Safety Leadership\n\nEnsure all site activities are conducted safely, maintaining zero TIR\nOwn site risk assessments, SOPs, and integrate with training/competence matrices\nGovern Permit-to-Work systems and ensure effective LOTO\nLead accident investigations using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions\nManage contractor control and CDM 2015 duties for projects. \n\nEngineering Management\n\nOversee the engineering team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement\nEnsure preventative maintenance and mandatory checks for equipment reliability\nUtilise CMMS for planned maintenance and KPI reporting.
\n\nAbout you:\n\nNEBOSH Diploma (or NVQ Level 6) and IOSH/BOHS membership (GradIOSH/CMIOSH)\nChartered status or working towards it & Engineering degree (desirable)\nProven leadership in HSE and process safety within a regulated or high-hazard environment\nStrong knowledge of DSEAR, process safety, and engineering best practices\nCompetence in HAZOP/LOPA, ATEX zoning, and permit-to-work systems\nIncident investigation expertise and evidence of delivering risk-reducing improvements. \n\nIf interested, please apply or contact Julia for more information: / (phone number removed)\n\nGuidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
