Process & Quality Engineer

Job Description

People Professionals are currently recruiting a Process and Quality Engineer for an established Automotive business. As an experienced Process and Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business processes and standards relating to Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, and Health & Safety.

Great communication skills are required as you will be developing relationships and communicating with external Customers on technical and product issues as well as having extensive interaction with internal stakeholders across all business functions regarding all their internal systems and processes, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.

As the Process and Quality Engineer, you will also be involved in the design and development of products, product improvements, tooling, fixtures, testing, inspecting, and auditing. We also require experience of ISO and other general quality standards.

Duties Will Include

  • Maintain competence on company business and IT systems including Epicor E10 and subsequent developments
  • Design and develop products, product improvements, tooling, fixtures, test, and associated equipment
  • Undertake Quality Assurance activities such as monitoring, testing, inspection and auditing suppliers, products, and services to ensure conformity to the required specification
  • Produce and support production & configuration management systems, processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions related to the QMS and Engineering activities of the business
  • Produce customer or contract related PPAP engineering documentation such as FMEA’s, Control Plans, PFD’s.

If you hold a degree in engineering or quality assurance or work-based qualifications this would be advantageous but ultimately, we are looking for someone that can demonstrate hands-on experience in a similar role.

We are looking for an individual with confidence and enthusiasm, who will take a proactive hands-on approach to this role. The ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business and customers is essential as is the ability to manage multiple projects and offer up commercially viable solutions to problems.

  • Salary is £35,000 pa
  • Hours of work 8 till 5 with 1 hour lunch - holidays 20 days plus 8 days Bank Holidays
