Adecco Staffing is assisting a manufacturing facility in their search for a Process Planning Engineer on a direct hire basis! This is located in the North Shore of Massachusetts!

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Process Planning

Schedule: 1st Shift
Pay: $85,000-$115,000 per year

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer – Process Planning is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes for precision components and assemblies. This role drives efficiency, ensures product quality, and supports production targets through effective process definition and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, quality standards, and cost drivers

  • Define manufacturing processes for components and assemblies

  • Determine and design/procure required fixtures and gages

  • Create and maintain manufacturing process routes and bills of material in ERP systems

  • Review Engineering Change Orders and update process documentation

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, supervisors, and operators to improve productivity and product flow

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting CNC machining operations

  • Experience with CNC machining, workholding, and machining principles

  • CAD/solid modeling proficiency (SolidWorks )

  • Familiarity with drawing/dimensioning standards

  • ERP/MRP system experience

  • Strong knowledge of machine shop and inspection practices

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment

  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement on the shop floor

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for precision-related tasks
